EFPIA - Human & Financial Resources Manager position

The job will consist of managing and supporting EFPIA´s most important asset: its people. This involves attracting, retaining, training and motivating co-workers. The position also includes the controlling of financial operations and office administration tasks. It will require knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in Belgium, and ensure compliance with the organisation’s internal rules and SOPs.

The Human & Financial Resources Manage will co-operate closely with external Social Secretariat and Chartered Accounting services, and will report to General Management.

Job Description:
HR Role
  • Following Director General’s instruction, manage recruitment matters from placing advertisements to short-listing CV’s, arranging and conducting interviews and reference checks; work with respective department heads to short-list candidates; prepare contracts and associated administration
  • Lead the appraisal process, performance management and coaching
  • Communicate and recommend internal policies
  • Plan & arrange training and team building activities
  • Conduct exit interviews for all levels
Finance & Administration Tasks
  • Issue invoices (primarily collecting membership subscriptions and contributions)
  • Debtor management
  • Process supplier, partner and service provider invoices and payments
  • Prepare accounts files for registration by external Chartered Accountants (including allocation of costs in activity-based accounting programme)
  • Prepare monthly management report highlighting the financial position (both for the organization, and ad hoc for departments)
  • Assist with other office related and administrative tasks as and when assigned by General Management
Profile:
  • Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor' Degree in Finance / Accountancy and/or Human Resource Management
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Human Resources and/or Finance or equivalent – in Belgium – no payroll management skills required (entrusted to Social Secretariat)
  • Working languages are French and English. Good command of French is essential for interaction with local administration, where appropriate. Good command of English is essential for contacts with staff and EFPIA members
  • Team player who is dynamic with mature personality, high integrity, confident and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong planning and organising skills and verifiable references
