EFPIA welcomes the publication of the very first Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) report developed under the frame of the EU HTA Regulation

EFPIA welcomes the publication of the very first Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) report developed under the frame of the EU HTA Regulation. This is the culmination of 14 months of joint work and marks a significant step in operationalising EU-level cooperation on health technology assessment. We look forwards to analysing the contents of the report and we hope that the lessons learned from this first procedure will be quickly applied to ongoing and future assessments.

Speaking on the occasion, Nathalie Moll, EFPIA’s Director General said: 'This is an important milestone for Team Europe. Now, it is up to Member States to use and not duplicate the joint work, in order to underpin faster decisions at national level and lead to faster access to innovation for patients.'
